Percussionist/producer Dave Sharma has recorded, performed, and toured with an extremely diverse list of artists, including Moby, Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Dayne, Cheap Trick, Sufi singer Zila Khan and Basement Bhangra's DJ Rekha. He was a lead percussionist in Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Bombay Dreams," and also worked on Disney's Tarzan on Broadway and the upcoming Bruce Lee musical. A BBC-award-winning producer, he has worked with the Rapture and Escort, and produces and DJ's as part of NYC's Sub Swara collective. He is a long-time student of Samir Chatterjee.

Learn Kathak, the north Indian classical dance form originated from the art of story telling. In additon to expression this dance form is also known for rhythmic footwork. Lessons are offered in small groups.
Teacher : Smt. Maya Misra

Smt. Maya Mishra is a renowned kathak dancer and teacher from India. She stepped into dance at the tender age of five under the guidance of Pt. Ramgopal Mishra, son of Pt. Jailal Mishra of Jaipur gharana. Later Maya studied Kathak under Dr. Malavika Mitra, Pt. Vijay Shankar at Padatik and Pt. Om Prakash Maharaj. She has furthered her studies by attending workshops of Smt. Sitara Devi and Pt. Birju Maharaj. In order to broaden her understanding of Indian dance Maya Mishra has also learned other forms such as kathakali from Guru Kalamandalam Govindam Kutti, Bharata Natyam from Guru Pandarinath, Manipuri dance from Smt. Eva Singh and folk dance from Guru Sukhen Barua. She is recipient of Nritya Praveen diploma from Prayag Sangeet Samiti of Allahabad. She is married to a great Sarangi (the heart and soul of Kathak) Maestro, Pt. Ramesh Misra. She has been performing and teaching since 1979.
